Homestretch nightmare

Just as we were celebrating surviving the first 2 legs of our journey (Africa and Asia), we ran in to a terrible glitch. When checking in to our China Airlines flight from Bangkok to Taiwan, we were informed that our Taiwan to Seattle flight did not exist. In fact, they said it never had existed. In fact, they said China Airlines does not even fly to Seattle! Imagine my surprise as I stood there with a ticket in my hand that says China Airlines, Taipei to Seattle, Flight 16.

Needless to say, we spent over 12 hours at the airport and later in Taipei, in a state of sheer panic, trying to sort it out. China Airlines blamed STA travel, and STA travel blamed China Airlines, and no one was willing to help us. I had to buy another ticket on United Airlines to get us home.

We are in Seattle now, about to board our plane to Victoria. We just finished eating a Whopper and fries to celebrate...home sweet home only 30 minutes away.

absolutely amazing how businesses function nowdays....they want your money but offer little...blame the next guy and pass the buck. Glad you found a way home, this comes a bit late I guess, it's Friday Nov.2
Been home with a viral lung infection (into 4 weeks now) will be here if you call. Love Dad
